Survival Roguelike BARDA launches today in Steam Early Access

Independent studio Mudita Games had released BARDA in Early Access on Steam today as part of the TurnBasedThursdayFest 2026.

BARDA is a chaotic inventory survival roguelike where keeping your backpack organized is the key to staying alive. Instead of focusing on combat the game challenges players to climb an ever-changing mountain by carefully managing the items they carry.

Players attempt to reach the summit to scatter their late grandfather’s ashes while dealing with survival conditions such as hunger, fatigue, and madness. In BARDA, these conditions are not simple meters — they physically appear inside the backpack disrupting the inventory players rely on to survive.

Each run takes players through procedurally generated zones filled with items, obstacles, and difficult decisions about what to keep or discard.

BARDA is available now in Early Access on Steam.

Single-player mode offers the same scope of gameplay, allowing players to fight alongside large groups of CPU-controlled units and bring World War I to their screens. The team behind Over The Top: WWI consists of four members, all active participants in historical reenactments; therefore, they place great importance on an authentic representation of the war’s events. Players can look forward to maps, vehicles, and uniforms with remarkable attention to detail.

The journey involves gathering gear, managing companions, and inevitably falling in battle. Death is only a transition, however. Upon defeat, Ukral awakens in a mysterious realm between life and death, ready to use newfound knowledge to dive back in and search for the elusive Winds of Fate.

InEv Games is deeply committed to crafting narrative focused experiences. Players who explored the narrative of the studio’s previous release, Livber: Smoke and Mirrors will find that same dedication to deep lore, atmospheric world-building, and compelling character arcs woven into the fabric of this game.
