One Interactive Studio and Infini Fun today announced that an updated free demo for Duelist: Idle Expedition is now available on Steam ahead of Steam Next Fest. The latest demo gives an early look at the JRPG pixel-art idle auto-battler ahead of its planned release later this year. PS1 Golden Era Inspired JRPG Full Circle Revealed During Indie Quest 2026

Solo dev 2ndPlayerGames and Publisher Deck13 are thrilled to officially reveal Full Circle, their upcoming 2.5HD Indie JRPG based on classics of the PS1 era of the genre. The game was revealed during the Indie Quest 2026 Showcase and will be playable for the first time later this year at Gamescom.

Watch the Announcement Trailer Here

Set in a post-apocalyptic world where mutated beasts roam the planet, where gruesome monsters are threatening everything and everyone, humanity has found shelter and security in flying cities. And yet, the time has come for a return to the surface. Young heroes are raised with a single purpose: brave the wilds and keep humanity’s last refuge alive. But when a mission beyond the walls reveals survivors, rival cities and secrets no one prepared them for, everything they believed in seems to fall apart.

Embrace the past, embrace the future

Full Circle is inspired by classics of the PS1 era. From Lunar to Breath of Fire. From early Final Fantasy games to Legend of Dragoon. The golden era. The games the developer grew up with. With Full Circle he wants to pay tribute to his childhood, combining the elements he loved as a kid with a modern 2.5HD Pixelart style, fluid gameplay, and modern controls. The intention is clear: combine what has been great and was partly lost within the genre over the years with the fluidity of modern games. Staying true to the roots and introducing unique approaches, and spice up the formula with mechanics which couldn’t be realized during the golden era.

Features:

  • Constant flow combat: Strategic turn-based battles with real-time precision. Time your inputs to chain attacks, discover combos, and swap party members without missing a beat.
  • Unlikely allies: A diverse cast of playable characters, each with unique abilities used in combat and to solve environmental challenges throughout the world.
  • A world divided: Floating cities, ancient ruins, survivor settlements, and untamed wilds, each with their own cultures and secrets.
  • Bittersweet storytelling: A coming of age narrative blending hope and melancholy, set in a world where nothing is as it seems.
  • Build your party: Mix and match 4 active and 4 reserve characters, combining gear, synergies, and unique skills to craft your playstyle.
  • Explore and Discover: Tame creatures, salvage tech, and follow hidden quests across a post-apocalyptic world.

Full Circle is in development for PC and Consoles and was officially revealed during the Indie Quest 2026 Showcase. A first playable demo will be available during Gamescom. Wishlist the game now on Steam.
