Codename CURE II Set To Launch on Steam July 24th, Bringing a Day-One DLC Pack

Free-to-play cooperative first-person shooter Codename CURE II that drops five-player squads into the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse, is set to launch on Steam July 24th, 2026. Developed by Raptor Byte and published by indie.io, it arrives alongside the Combat Specialist Pack, a $9.99 DLC discounted 20% at launch that adds new weapons, attachments, and military-inspired cosmetics for every class. Players curious to get a head start can already try the game’s core mechanics and co-op gameplay through the demo, currently live on Steam.

Codename CURE II places you in the boots of an elite military squad tasked with executing a dangerous plan to eliminate a zombie scourge. Assembling a team of up to five soldiers, you and your squad will tackle dynamic objective-based missions, fighting through hordes of infected with a dynamic gore system that reacts to every encounter, scavenging for resources to fuel your arsenals and adapting to the ever-changing threats of a post-apocalyptic world. Tactical coordination and resource management are key to survival against overwhelming odds in this class-based shooter, where even the AI enemies adapt to the gear your squad has unlocked.

The game also distinguishes itself with flexible playstyles and accessibility in mind. While built for online co-op, Codename CURE II supports offline play with AI bots, letting solo players experience the full campaign without needing a team. Adjustable difficulty settings and custom volume controls round out an experience designed to welcome players of different needs and preferences.

Key features:

  • Five-Player Co-operative Action: Assemble a squad of up to five friends or play offline with AI bots to tackle intense missions together.
  • Dynamic Objective Missions: Navigate procedurally generated scenarios where no two mission runs are ever the same, demanding fresh strategic thinking and teamwork every time.
  • Resource Scavenging: Search the environment for supplies to customize and upgrade weapons, ensuring your squad is ready for any encounter.
  • Class-Based Combat: Choose from five distinct player classes, each offering unique abilities to complement different tactical approaches.

Squads looking to gear up further can pick up the Combat Specialist Pack, launching alongside the base game at $9.99 with a 20% discount at launch. The pack adds new firearms, tactical attachments, and cosmetic gear, giving players new ways to customize their loadout from day one.

Codename CURE II follows the original Codename CURE, which reached over two million players on Steam. The sequel rebuilds that experience with modern tools and expanded systems, while keeping its focus on cooperative gameplay, replayability, and mission-driven action against the infected.

“In making Codename CURE II, we wanted to recapture what made the original so fun, but modernize and improve upon pretty much everything. From dynamic gore systems to additional enemy types, cool but limited features present in the first game, such as maps having pre-set branching paths, evolved here into a full procedural generation system where no two mission runs are ever the same. Each class now has a full selection of weapon and attachment options, more competent/believable AI systems which even utilise the gear you have unlocked when filling roles. After many years of development, we’re very excited to get this into the hands of gamers, both existing fans and new players alike,” said Raptor Byte.

Codename CURE II launches free-to-play on Steam July 24, 2026.

A beat ’em Up well suited to the time of Romans…

Asterix and Obelix was a French Comic series that started 1959 (and still going strong) about Gaul (France)during the Roman Occupation. It’s a fun romp with magic potions, rambunctious bards and fiendish Romans all being explored (or beat up) by the comics namesakes’, Asterix and Obelix.

These historic heroes are getting a 2d beat-‘em-up in fall 2021!

It’ll be hand-drawn, to stay true to the style of the comics! It looks to have simple controls, and from the sneak peeks, it looks like it’ll be going through several of the comics’ storylines.

The game will have local co-op, and you can experience this historical-fantasy with your friends, and for those who read the comics, a fresh perspective on a French classic

It’ll be on these Platforms: PS4, Xbox One Consoles, Nintendo Switch, PC/Mac  – Backward compatible on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

PACER

Pacer was just released for Xbox on March 9th. The game had already been released on Playstation and PC. Pacer is an action packed anti-gravity racing game from R8 Games. Originally known as Formula Fusion and rebranded to Pacer in 2019, it’s the only game that R8 Games has released to the public. However, many of the developers at R8 have established themselves in the industry and worked on various major game franchises. This includes the Wipeout series, which PACER seems to have drawn much inspiration from. Like any good racing game, PACER lets the player customize their vehicle to their heart’s content. But where PACER really sets itself apart from most next-gen racing games would be the actual racing gameplay.

You can customize your craft at the Garage. Everything from the engine to the brakes can be fine-tuned.

High-Octane

PACER takes place in the year 2075. Anti-gravity motorsports have developed into a world renowned competition between highly skilled pilots. But crashing is far from the greatest danger that the pilots face while they’re racing. Every craft can be customized in a variety of ways and they can be fitted with deadly weaponry. You could be dodging bullets and bombs the whole way to the finish line. In the single-player campaign mode, you’ll advance through 10 unique race teams around the world to win the PACER World Championship. But there are plenty of other game modes beyond the campaign.

With up to 10 players in each race, there’s plenty of danger on the track.

Racing Around the Globe

Singleplayer and online multiplayer races have 8 individual game modes. One of these game modes, called “Storm”, is inspired by Battle Royales where you have to flee the ever encroaching storm as the battle races on. Plus, the game lets you race and battle on 14 different tracks that are located across the world. These numerous modes and tracks have kept people playing and kept people interested in the game. There are also plenty of other nice features that set the game apart. Every craft can be heavily customized to your preferences. So if you want to focus on the vehicle’s handling or speed, you can go for it. PACER also lets you create your own playlist from over 80+ songs in their library. This library includes tracks from many artists, including original songs from CoLD SToRAGE written exclusively for PACER. If you’re in the market for a new racing game with a twist, consider giving PACER a try.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Call of Duty in 2018

MODERN WARFARE 2

The Call Of Duty franchise is getting a lot of attention so far this year. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the 2010 release, appears to be getting a remaster. See this article from CharlieIntel. Several sources are saying this, but this has yet to be confirmed by Activision. I will refrain from too much speculation other than to say, bring it on!

BLACK OPS 4

In what looks to be a game-changing experience, Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 launches worldwide on Friday, 12th October for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.  Tune in Thursday, 17th May, when publisher Activision, a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, and award-winning developer Treyarch, host the community reveal to a worldwide audience. Places to check:  www.callofduty.com , www.youtube.com/callofduty and follow @Treyarch and @CallofDuty on Twitter and Instagram and Facebook.

I am hearing that Black Ops 4 will not include a single player campaign mode. There could be any number of reasons for this. Making sense is the speculation surrounding the remaster of Modern Warfare 2 being Single player only. You would get one game for Single Player, another for the Multiplayer experience. Black Ops 4 may get a mode involving Zombies, but that is not the same as a single player mode. On a digression, I personally do not understand the fascination with zombies in video games. But anyway..

The original Call of Duty was released in 2003, set in the middle of the most brutal conflict in human history. The debut game spawned one of the most popular franchises in history, which has taken players across multiple theaters and through different eras, and today we are proud to announce that Call of Duty is returning to its World War II roots with Call of Duty: WWII

Developed by Infinity Ward, this is the game that started it all. Ambitiously focusing on the importance of an entire squad of soldiers, Call of Duty’s slogan was “In war, no one fights alone.” Throughout the game, players fight alongside their fellow soldiers across the backdrop of some of the most well-known engagements at D-Day and beyond.
