The Wild West during the prime of the Gold Rush. The year is 1850. It was an offer you couldn’t refuse: Take over a prosperous General Store on the main street of a thriving town. What they forgot to mention: The store is a mere shadow of its former self in the middle of a ghost town. After the gold was gone, so were most of the people. But you want to live the American Dream and no one can stop you.

Show your business acumen and iron will to make it to the top. Start stacking shelves, set prices in an ever-changing business environment and take care of the supply of goods. Make sure your customers’ evolving needs are satisfied and hire helpers so you can focus on optimizing your profits.

Stock shelves with over 70 different goods, set prices in an ever-changing economy, hire helpers and take on dynamic events and minigames, from tomahawk-throwing contests to shooting range challenges. Revive the town around you to maximize your store appeal, attract new customers and make a hefty profit. For an extra challenge, the “Realistic Prices” mode tightens margins and demands sharper business instincts.

Post-Apocalyptic Action-RPG RoadOut Launching Today on PC and Consoles

DANGEN Entertainment and developer Rastrolabs have announced that RoadOut has released today on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

RoadOut is a story-driven post-apocalyptic action-RPG fusing 2.5D rotatable dungeon crawling with retro-style car exploration and vehicular combat.

Players step into the role of Claire, a mercenary for hire who races, fights, hacks, and crashes her way through the ruins of The Dead Zone. In her quest to uncover her connection to A.I. she’ll uncover conspiracies, clash with gangs, track down relics, and personalize her ride (and body) for maximum style and destruction.

final, action-packed trailer has been revealed alongside its launch. The trailer highlights RoadOut’s mix of twin stick action, on-wheels exploration and rock n’ roll style racing (yes, like the SNES game).

Players can look forward to puzzle-filled dungeons, overworld exploration on wheels, arcade style racing, upgrades and mods, all wrapped in a retro post-apocalyptic world seething with style and synthwave.

STORY

After a great cataclysm, what’s left is a post-apocalyptic world dominated by an A.I. with rebel groups that take refuge in a desert area known as The Dead Zone. Claire survives in this world by executing black market contracts for local leaders involving delivery, sabotage and murder. The Dead Zone, now not so dead, is occupied by three rival factions: The WasteheadsThe SaibaKuran, and Order of the New Code. While investigating her past, Claire uncovers strange evidence that links her existence to the origin of the A.I.

GAMEPLAY

Part exploration on-wheels, part dungeon crawler, RoadOut shifts between retro-style behind-the-wheel action and on-foot brawling. Switch from turbo-charged chases to twin-stick shootouts. Drive into run-down city hubs, take on underground side quests, and blow up dangerous hideouts. Players can upgrade both Claire and her ride with body mod and vehicular customization, while scouring the world for items to craft their own items, weapons and upgrades.

Explore the World on Wheels

The world is no longer the same. All that remains is The Dead Zone, a large artificial biome created to sustain a new era of humanity. Drive through The Dead Zone doing jobs, getting paid and running roughshod over the scum guarding the secrets of the world. Join factions, fight rival gangs, barter items and take up quests to earn clout while progressing Claire’s story.

Twin Stick Combat and Dungeon Exploration

Body Mods and Cybernetics

Exit your ride and explore locations in the world of RoadOut on foot. Crush bandits with short and long range attacks, block with your shield, and recover using drugs that you’ve crafted on the way. Solve puzzles using fully rotatable stack sprite perspectives that look 2D, but are actually 3D. Craft new moves, weapons and drugs to survive. You can customize Claire with body mods, cybernetics, and an intricate skill tree system. Upgrade her car to traverse different terrain and withstand the effects of weather, night and day.

Battle in Your Bitchin’ Ride

Equipped with weapons and other tech, Claire’s car is your best friend against dangers in The Dead Zone. Hungry animals are ready to rip you apart. Murderous bandits will rob your lifeless corpse. Prepare for the worst with your car and its arsenal of weapons.

Race for Glory

The world may have come to an end, but who said we can’t have fun? Ride or die in red-hot races to be the best on the post apocalyptic circuit. 10 tracks in multiple biomes, innumerable races, all of them equal measures deadly and glorious. Indulge in extra game modes such as destruction derby-style racing and twisted battle arena, all while roading out to a thumping synthwave soundtrack.

Satirical Phone‑Repair Adventure ‘In Trusted Hands’ Now Available On All Major Console Platforms

Indie studio HGISoft and console publisher Games Harbor proudly announce the official worldwide launch of satirical phone‑repair adventure In Trusted Hands on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4/5.

Become a phone repair technician with access to the personal data of your customers — a responsibility that quickly turns into a series of moral dilemmas. Your choices will shape their destinies.

Gameplay trailer can be watched here

ABOUT THE GAME :

In Trusted Hands is a satirical narrative simulator that explores modern fears surrounding privacy and the loss of personal data. Drawing on over 20 years’ experience in the device repair industry, the game turns everyday incidents from repair shops into humorous, dramatic, and occasionally unsettling interactive stories.

Players take on the role of a phone repair technician who has full technical access to customers’ devices — and, by extension, their private lives. Each repair presents a new ethical dilemma: should they remain professional or delve deeper into messages, photos, and apps, potentially influencing the fate of the city’s residents?

Beyond repairs, players can purchase used phones and sell spare parts to expand their workshop. They can even become involved in covert operations. A chance encounter with a secret agent could see the technician become an undercover government informant, adding an espionage element to the experience.

Every action has consequences. A seemingly harmless decision such as copying the genome of a rare plant to help solve a food shortage, can trigger unexpected ripple effects. In In Trusted Hands, even the best intentions can lead to unpredictable outcomes.

Cozy-Weird ‘Snowguelike’ Froggy Hates Snow launching on PC and consoles May 7th

Digital Bandidos and solo developer Crying Brick today announced that Froggy Hates Snow, the charmingly strange “snowguelike” survival roguelite, will launch for PC & consoles on May 7th

A demo is available now on Steam and Xbox, with Steam progress carrying over to the full game.
In Froggy Hates Snow, you guide a small frog beyond the safety of his heat bubble and into a frozen wilderness filled with treasure, secrets, and danger. By digging through deep interactive snow and reshaping the terrain around you, you will uncover gems and upgrades that help you survive longer, push further, and discover more with every run.

But Froggy Hates Snow is more than a survival challenge. Alongside its roguelite progression, combat, and risk-reward decision-making, the game has a distinctly cozy and offbeat tone, combining playful exploration, oddball charm, and a world that feels as inviting as it is unpredictable.

Players can also activate Peaceful Mode for a monster-free experience focused entirely on digging, discovery, and exploring at their own pace. As you unlock and upgrade your equipment – such as flamethrowers, snowblowers and drills – clearing snow becomes a relaxing, powerwashing-style experience as you seek to completely uncover each map.

Each run offers different ways to play. Players attempt to survive ten waves of shadowy creatures and take on the deadly level boss that follows, or search for the escape door and collect enough keys to unlock it before the boss arrives. How far they venture, how long they stay exposed to the cold, and how aggressively they play is entirely up to them.

Key features in Froggy Hates Snow include:

  • Dig, Tunnel, Reshape – Use a unique snow-digging mechanic to carve paths through the world, uncover treasure, and turn the terrain itself into part of your strategy
  • Cozy, Quirky, and a Little Chaotic – Play as one of ten lovable coat-wearing frogs, each with their own unique abilities and quirks in a frozen world that blends warmth, weirdness, and danger
  • Two Paths to Victory – Battle through ten waves of enemies and defeat the boss, or find the escape door and enough keys to make it out alive
  • Build It Your Way – Experiment with flexible upgrades, unlockables, and run-defining choices that support a range of playstyles
  • From Shovels to Flamethrowers – Clear snow and fight back with an expanding arsenal that includes snowblowers, dynamite, cluster bombs, flamethrowers, and more
  • Amazing Allies – Recruit helpful companions, from penguins and owls through to flame-throwing robots, to help explore and survive
  • Peaceful Mode – Turn off enemy encounters entirely for a more relaxed experience centered on digging, discovery, and exploration
  • Highly Replayable Runs – New treasures, dangers, upgrades, and routes help make every attempt feel fresh

“It’s been amazing to watch players and creators connect with Froggy Hates Snow,” said developer Serhii ‘Serge’ Riabtsev. “I always wanted it to feel a little unusual. It has danger and pressure, but it also has this cozy, playful side where you can just enjoy digging through the snow and seeing what you find. Getting to finally share the release date feels really special.”

“From the moment we played it, we knew Froggy Hates Snow had a personality all its own,” said Steve Escalante, CEO of Digital Bandidos. “It’s odd but charming, instantly watchable, and full of the kind of emergent moments that players and creators love. What makes it especially exciting is that it can feel tense and replayable one minute, then surprisingly cozy and relaxing the next.”

Players can wishlist Froggy Hates Snow on Steam, PlayStation Store and Xbox Store now.

Demo for 3-D Co-Op Platformer Limbot Now Available on Steam

Following a successful playtest, Ionized Studios has launched the official Steam demo for Limbot, giving players an even bigger taste of the colorful cardboard carnage ahead of the full game’s release later this July on Steam, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

Limbot is a co-op 3D platformer with a twist that sees up to 4 players work together to control a giant cardboard robot with each player taking command of different limbs. Whether you’re stomping through city streets, flailing your way across jungle platforms, or toppling headfirst into scenery, coordination or lack thereof is the key to your victories and spectacular failures.

“Seeing players throw themselves into Limbot and having a blast during the Steam playtest was an absolute joy to watch,” said Aaron, developer at Ionized Studios. “To give players a better slice of what to expect in the full game, the official demo adds even more levels, new enemies, new upgrades and the first rather silly boss fight.”

Key Features:

  • Play with up to 4 players and control limbs individually, or go alone and master the bot in solo play!
  • Smash, stomp, and crash through a paper-craft world tour as you flatten cities, jungles, and underwater environments into pulp.
  • Take on 20 demo levels, including Limbot’s first boss fight!
  • Limbot is launching later this July on Steam, Xbox and Nintendo Switch

IronWolf VR, a co-op game, achieved a firm following and boasts a 94% positive score from over 1,000 reviews. Limbot aims to build on that successful foundation of multi-crew chaos and camaraderie, but swaps the deep-sea setting of ballast tanks and hydroplanes for a wackier world featuring cardboard arms and legs.

Wholesome Narrative Puzzle Game A Storied Life: Tabitha now available on Steam and Nintendo Switch

The pages are waiting. What will you fill them with? Wholesome narrative puzzle game A Storied Life: Tabitha is available now on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch™ at a suggested retail price of $14.99/£12.99/$14.99, with a 10% launch discount on Steam.

Watch the trailer here

A Storied Life: Tabitha began as an idea from writer Cherish Goldstraw, who brought it to studio director Terry Goodwin and began developing it with a team within Lab42 Games. The team brought the game to publisher Secret Mode, who has worked with the studio on ports for games like A Little to the Left and Wobbledogs, and immediately fell in love with the watercolor aesthetics and unique narrative design.

A Storied Life: Tabitha takes you to Lavender Laithe, the former home of Tabitha, a recently-deceased loved one. Upon arriving, you discover that Tabitha has an agreement with a publisher to print her memoirs… which have just been damaged due to an unfortunate mishap. It’s up to you to go through the house and piece together Tabitha’s life, filling in the gaps left in her memoir pages using the items you find along the way.

Explore the house room by room and decide what you’ll keep, what should be sold, and what can be recycled. Move furniture and search through cupboards and drawers to find tucked-away items which may hold more intriguing memories. You only have one cardboard box for keepsakes per room, so prepare for difficult decisions as you choose which elements of Tabitha’s life you want to remember.

Fit all you can into your box, rotating and aligning items and reinforcing the box with tape when things get too heavy. Fold flexible objects like letters and stuff them into envelopes to save space. Fragile items can smash if not properly cushioned, so place them carefully among soft objects, or wrap them in bubble wrap to keep them secure. On the other hand, broken items aren’t the end of the world and may reveal new secrets…

Fill the gaps in Tabitha’s memoirs using the items you’ve chosen to save and uncover the many sides of this fascinating person. How she’s remembered is up to you – was she a caring mother? A budding botanist? A dabbler in the arcane arts? Write a coherent narrative to please the publisher or use a jumble of mismatched words to write something a little more avant-garde. Tabitha’s life is now your story to tell.

Return to Tabitha’s home multiple times to rewrite her story and find new facets to her life. Search every nook and cranny for hidden items and intriguing easter eggs. Or recycle everything and take nothing of Tabitha’s life with you. There are many choices to be made, and no right or wrong answers – only the memories you choose to keep.

“This has been one of the most fulfilling projects we’ve ever worked on, and we’re so excited to finally get the full game into player’s hands,” said Lab42 Games’ Terry Goodwin and Cherish Goldstraw. “We’ve been bowled over by the positive reception so far, and it’s been a pleasure watching people resonate with our little game. We hope they enjoy the full experience just as much.”

About A Storied Life: Tabitha
A Storied Life: Tabitha is a cozy narrative game about memory, legacy, discovery, and joy.
An elderly loved one has died, leaving you their estate and a letter encouraging you to sell any valuables. But when a mishap spoils their soon-to-be-published memoirs, you set out to repair the damage, piecing together their hidden past using the items you inherit.

Valkyrie Initiative Announces Fast-Paced 2D Platformer Kettlebell: Inferno Hotel

Valkyrie Initiative and solo developer 70`Strike today announced Kettlebell: Inferno Hotel, a fast-paced 2D platformer inspired by the 16-bit classics of the ’90s, coming to PC via Steam and GOG as well as PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Packed with humor, destruction, grotesque enemies, and pure hellish energy, the game sends players into a bizarre underworld where the circles of Hell have been reimagined as the floors of a chaotic infernal hotel

Watch the official announcement trailer here

In Kettlebell: Inferno Hotel, players take control of Mr. K, an ordinary office clerk and all-around decent guy whose fate takes a darkly comic turn after a ridiculous accident sends him straight to Hell instead of Heaven. There, he arrives at the gates of the Inferno Hotel, a surreal place where each floor has its own rules, atmosphere, and dangers. With the hotel in chaos and its floors sealed off, Mr. K must fight his way through every trial in search of an audience with the Boss to set this cosmic mistake right.

The game will take players through nine floors of the Inferno Hotel and more than forty handcrafted levels, blending fast and dynamic platforming with strange mechanics, grotesque enemies and bosses, and surreal locations ranging from fiery factories to a park of homeless souls. Built around the spirit of the Mega Drive and Super Nintendo era, the game combines familiar retro sensibilities with fresh ideas, satirical humor, and an offbeat personality of its own.

To celebrate the announcement, Valkyrie Initiative has also opened Steam Playtest sign-ups for the game. Players who take part in the Playtest and meet certain conditions will have the chance to earn a range of exclusive in-game rewards, which will be granted at the full launch of the game. These rewards include a golden kettlebell skin, a smelly kettlebell skin, and a stylish yellow shirt for Mr. K.

Some of these rewards will require genuine skill. Players who complete every level in the Playtest build with an S Rank will unlock the Steam achievement “Golden Run”, qualifying them for the top reward, provided they also wishlist the game and follow Valkyrie Initiative’s publisher page on Steam. Additional rewards can be unlocked through other Playtest achievements and participation requirements. The Playtest start date will be announced at a later time.

“After working on the dark and demanding world of Skelethrone, I wanted to create something lighter, stranger, and more playful without losing the sense of challenge and personality that makes action games memorable,” said Ksayfar (Dmitriy Bukhtatov), solo developer at 70`Strike. “Kettlebell: Inferno Hotel is my love letter to the weird energy of ’90s platformers — games like Earthworm JimBoogermanBubba ’n’ Stix, and Sonic — filtered through a bizarre vision of Hell inspired by The Divine Comedy. It’s fast, surreal, hand-crafted, and intentionally a little unhinged.”

Key features of Kettlebell: Inferno Hotel include:

  • Fast-paced, dynamic 2D platforming
  • Two gameplay modes: Classic with limited lives, and Arcade, where players cannot die but lose more points when hit
  • Over 40 levels spread across nine floors of the Inferno Hotel
  • Grotesque enemies and bosses
  • Surreal locations and bizarre underworld humor
  • Hand-drawn pixel art and frame-by-frame animation
  • A retro-inspired soundtrack composed by the developer, blending jazz, ’80s disco, blues, and more

Players can wishlist the game and request access to the Steam Playtest here

70`Strike is the solo development label of Ksayfar (Dmitriy Bukhtatov). Following work on Skelethrone: The Chronicles of Ericona, Bukhtatov began development on Kettlebell: Inferno Hotel as a more playful and eccentric project inspired by classic ’90s platformers, hand-drawn pixel animation, and a whimsical reinterpretation of Hell.About Valkyrie Initiative

Valkyrie Initiative is a publisher focused on bringing distinctive games to players across multiple platforms. The company works with development partners on publishing, platform releases, and community-facing initiatives for original indie and mid-core titles.
