Event Celebrates 2nd Anniversary of the Awesome Mobile Game with a Special Announcement of a KINGDOM HEARTS III Tie-In

LOS ANGELES (Apr. 16, 2018) – This past weekend, over a thousand keyblade wielders gathered to attend the Dandelion Meeting, the first official North American community gathering for KINGDOM HEARTS Union χ[Cross]. Attendees at the Kingdom Hearts Union Fan Event celebrated the anniversary with various activities including new playable content and panel discussions with the development team.

During the panel, Franchise Director Tetsuya Nomura and KINGDOM HEARTS Union χ[Cross] Producer Hironori Okayama shared their insights into the inner-workings of the beloved series. Additionally, in a special video message, KINGDOM HEARTS III Co-Director Tai Yasue revealed that the new mini-games inspired by classic Disney cartoons and 1980’s LCD games that fans were able to play at the event will also be available to play in both KINGDOM HEARTS Union χ[Cross] and KINGDOM HEARTS III. New footage of the “CLASSIC KINGDOM” gameplay is available on Youtube:

Nomura also announced that fans will have a unique chance to become part of history in KINGDOM HEARTS III. Other exciting announcements for the mobile game include:

  • New Player vs. Player (PvP) Mode – During the Dandelion Meeting event, players were treated to a special preview of the new asynchronous PvP mode which will launch later this year. The new PvP mode will be the first time players can battle against one another in KINGDOM HEARTS, and will require players to strategically use their best medals in turn-based combat to be victorious. The player who wins the most turns will win the battle, and be entered into a monthly PvP Leaderboard for the chance to accumulate rewards and recognition.
  • 2-year Anniversary Celebration Gifts – To commemorate the game’s second anniversary, 3,000 jewels were gifted to all players on April 7, 2018. Players were also gifted two Fantasia Mickey B medals today, which can be claimed any time within the next month.

EVE Online: Into the Abyss injects ground-breaking, transformative gameplay into EVE Online and presents a new adventure for players, inviting you to explore dangerous uncharted territory with strange new inhabitants and potentially vast rewards. Overwatch adds Doomfist – fourth new hero!

Blizzard’s hero shooter Overwatch released a total of three additional characters in the year since it launched in May 2016, teasing through in-game hints and in-universe lore blogs. The next hero is one we’ve been teased since the title’s very first cinematic trailer, when one of the boys takes a gauntlet that could “level a skyscraper” for his own stab at heroics. Fans, the wielder of that legendary glove is here: Doomfist has entered the fray.

Doomfist will go live on the (PC-only) PTR test servers before rolling into the main game in a few weeks. But then Everyone will get to enjoy his heavy-hitting kit, which looks to include crowd-control and area damage skills.

Two New Jobs: Samurai and Red Mage – The highly anticipated Samurai and Red Mage jobs make their debut in Stormblood. The DPS jobs introduce new fighting styles for players to enjoy—learn and master the art of “Sen” as the Samurai, or unleash hybrid magic and melee combos with the Red Mage’s Chainspell ability.

Level Cap Increase – The level cap for jobs and classes will be raised from 60 to 70. Players will need to make full use of the new powers at their disposal to defeat their Garlean adversaries.

Swimming and Diving – Explore Eorzea’s pristine waters with the addition of swimming and diving. Players will be able to journey deep into the depths upon completing special prerequisites.

New Beast Tribes and Primals – Players will encounter both the ancient Ananta, an all-female tribe who worship the primal Lakshmi in the mountains of Gyr Abania, and the Kojin—skilled traders residing in underwater settlements who worship the Lord of Revel, Susano.

Fourth Residential District – Shirogane, an island belonging to the Far Eastern nation of Hingashi: open to adventurers who frequent the port of Kugane. Those with a fondness for Far Eastern aesthetics will find it the perfect place to call home. Plots of land will be available for sale beginning with Patch 4.1.

PvP Updates – A revamped battle system bring a new, streamlined PvP experience to Stormblood.
