Kinetic arcade shooter VCTR demo to arrive within a few weeks

Solo indie game developer Daniel Lowe of Enter Grip announces his next title, VCTR, a minimalist arcade shooter where position and timing are everything. Players will shoot or dash into enemies to destroy them, collecting experience orbs in the aftermath but, both actions require a cool-off period so as enemies fill the screen, balancing shooting and dashing becomes a rhythm of survival.

Between waves, players can upgrade their abilities using the orbs collected during rounds. Upgrades allow players to switch up their strategies and augment their play style. Players can create builds that maximize shot impacts or lean into dash-based movement abilities. Instead of micro-stat boosts, VCTR provides players with meaningful changes with each unlock, making every upgrade feel impactful and game-changing.

When asked about the inspiration behind VCTR, Daniel mentions wanting to create an action-packed shooter with simple controls that’s fun to play with just a mouse. Despite the chaos on screen at any given moment, everything boils down to two inputs: shoot or dash. And with just those two inputs, he has crafted a surprisingly deep and engaging experience that’s easy to pick up, difficult to master, and insanely addicting.

VCTR plans to release this summer with a demo is planned to arrive within the next few weeks.
