What is Kinect? |

Kinect for Xbox 360 (formerly known by the code name Project Natal (pronounced /nəˈtɒl/ nə-tahl)), or simply, Kinect, is a "controller-free gaming and entertainment experience" by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game platform. Based around an add-on peripheral for the Xbox 360 console, it enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller through a natural user interface using gestures, spoken commands, or presented objects and images. The project is aimed at broadening the Xbox 360's audience beyond its typical gamer base. |

Codeworks Connect, the trade association supporting digital businesses in the North East of England, is proud to announce details of its 2010 Thinking Digital: The Next Generation conference, taking place at the prestigious Sage Gateshead on March 17th. The North East of England is blooming with talent and career opportunities in the digital sector. The 2010 Thinking Digital: The Next Generation conference will bring this ever widening whirlpool of talent together in an unmissable one-day conference on March 17th. With a subtle blend of speakers representing the eclectic sub-sectors of the digital industry, the conference promises to educate and inspire students, graduates and entrepreneurs around the North East about the rapidly expanding careers in digital media and technology.
